Anarchists Pavel Shpetny and Aleksandr Kozlyanko have been released.

Yesterday, we received good news: two of our comrades, Pavel Shpetny and Aleksandr Kozlyanko, have been released. After their release, they were deported from the country and are currently in Lithuania.

Both were convicted in the case of an “international anarchist criminal organization” and were sentenced to six years in prison. They were expected to be released in early March this year, but the prison administration initiated new cases against them under Article 411 (“malicious disobedience to prison administration”). As a result, Pavel Shpetny received an additional two years, and Aleksandr Kozlyanko an additional one and a half years of imprisonment. Before yesterday’s release, Pavel was supposed to be released in March 2028, and Alexander in September 2027.

During their time in custody, both endured severe hardships. Pavel is an orphan, and his sister is waiting for him on the outside. While Aleksandr was imprisoned, his brother Dmitry passed away, and he now has an elderly mother.

Freedom is not only a long-awaited relief, but also the beginning of a difficult new stage, especially in forced migration. After several years in harsh conditions in Belarusian prisons, they now have to rebuild their lives from scratch: restore their health, find housing, and adapt to a new country. All of this requires time, effort, and financial support.

Now is the moment when our solidarity truly matters. Even a small donation can be a step toward stability, safety, and a new beginning for those who have endured repression.
