On Friday May 27 a group of anarchists from Dresden took part in monthly Critical Mass event in our city to show the solidarity with the people facing repression for the same activity in Minsk. We went with posters “Я тоже критическая масса” and “Ich bin auch Critical Mass” through the city to inform people about the situation happening Belarus. Leaflets were given away to participants of the action and people passing by.

Five action in a row have been organised on January 29 in support of anarchists, arrested in Minsk for alleged resistance to the police about a week ago. In fact all of them were detained on suspicion of participation in solidarity actions with other activists, who had been arrested at a punk concert and accused of distribution of extremist literature.
According to the activists, by these action they wanted to show that the 4 arrested people are not the ones who had organised the actions on January 16. The police and the judicial system don’t aim at detecting or preventing crimes, the strive to suppress any demonstration of nonconformity. Meetings attended by thousands of people have been held in several cities of Spain in the wake of arrests of anarchists by police on the morning of December 16. In the course of a special operation code-named “Pandora”, the police tracked down activists whom they intended to accuse of organizing terrorist acts. As a result, 14 people were arrested; three were later released.
