Alyaksandr Frantskevich numbered among “persistent offenders”

The mother of the political prisoner Alyaksandr Frantskevich met with him in the colony.

The meeting lasted for 2 hours, Radio Racyja informs.

Earlier the political prisoner was deprived a right for a long-term meeting. During her visit to the colony Tatsyana Frantskevch learned about the new facts of pressure on her son.

– He is numbered among persistent violators of discipline. He is deprived of a right to receive money transfers. If we could send 5 basic units to him earlier, now he can receive only Br 100,000, one basic unit. I was explained that the director of the colony did not like it how Sasha approached him holding his hands in his pockets. And did not like the way he answered. I think such things should not be punished.

That is why Tatsyana Frantskevich does not exclude that the reasons for these punishments in fact are different. It is known that many political prisoners had been pressurized to make him write petitions for pardon. Though now neither Alyaksandr Frantskevich nor another political prisoner who stays in the same colony, a Young Front member Eduard Lobau, do not experience harsher pressure except for these penalties.

Tatsyana Frantskevich says that everyone in the colony is waiting for July 3, when amnesty is to be announced. However she, like Eduard Lobau’s mother, do not pin great hopes on the amnesty.

Alyaksandr Frantskevich was detained on September 3, 2010. He was one of the persons involved in the “case of anarchists”. On May 27, 2011 the court of Zavadski district of Minsk sentenced him, Ihar Alinevich and Mikalai Dzyadok to 3 years in a medium security penal colony accused of violation of two articles of the Criminal Code: article 351 (deliberate destruction of computer information) and part 2 of article 339 (malicious hooliganism). In September 2011 Belarusian human rights activists recognized Alyaksandr Frantskevich a political prisoner. He serves the sentence in the colony Nr 22 in Ivatsevichy.
